DC Deck Building Game Expansion: Heroes Unite

News on the DC deck-building game's first expansion. It will be called "Heroes Unite". You will be able to play as Shazam!, Hawkman, Red Tornado, Nightwing, Black Canary, Batgirl, or Booster Gold. It will be possible to combine this game with the original game or play it on its own.

I personally love the DC deck-building game. It was always great fun but the expansion will add a much needed change to the game allowing for new strategies etc. It will be interesting to see how this works with the first game as the main deck could end up being huge! I'm loving these secondary characters getting to step up in this expansion.

Below taken from the official release info

"In the DC Comics Deck-Building Game 2: Heroes Unite, you can play as Shazam!, Hawkman, Red Tornado, Nightwing, Black Canary, Batgirl, or Booster Gold. Each Super Hero has a unique special ability that will open up different strategies to the player. Follow that strategy or break away with a plan of your own. Card combos, strategy, and fun abound in this game where every card is a well-known, fan-favourite card with amazing art. The DC Comics Deck-Building Game 2: Heroes Unite is a stand-alone game, but also can be used as an expansion to the hit DC Deck-Building Game. Mix the two sets together for the ultimate showdown! "

Warmachine High Command

Warmachine High Command is the new card game by Privateer Press based on their best selling tabletop game.

More about the game:-

“WARMACHINE High Command is a deck-building card game for 2–4 players set in the steam-powered fantasy world of the Iron Kingdoms. This stand-alone game can be played with just the contents of this box or combined with other WARMACHINE High Command products for a customisable experience. Leverage your resources, rally your armies, and dominate your foes to set your banner above all of western Immoren!”

In the box you get four different decks for Cygnar, Khador, Menoth and Cryx so you can duke it out on the card-based battlefield with four people while you’re waiting for your next major engagement on the tabletop.

It will have both casual play and later on in the year tournament play.

The game will be released on 28th August.

Warmachine: Tactics Kickstarter

Well it was inevitable I would start my blog off with a Warmachine post so here goes!

Warmachine: Tactics is Privateer Press's upcoming turn-based tactical combat, set in the steam-powered world of the Warmachine tabletop game. Funding for the game is being done through Kickstarter

Warmachine; Tactics Kickstarter

I am personally really excited for this as I love the Warmachine franchise and look forward to what they do with this game as its not a direct port of the game but being done to a similar style to games like X-com.

The pledge I have gone for is the Hardcore one meaning that I get the game plus 1 kickstarter exclusive figurine. I've also pledged extra to get the High Command cards

It begins!

Well I thought it was about time I started this blog back up! I intend this to be about all types of gaming whether it be video games, card games or tabletop games. Apologies in advance for the poor grammar!

Little about myself

Names Jamie and I'm an avid gamer of all types based in the Highlands of Scotland. Currently in love with Warmachine/Hordes and Magic the Gathering but I do play many other games and spent most of my days surfing the net looking at new games or news on new releases etc so thought id share what I find along with my thoughts!
